~About Me~

~Heya, welcome to my about me page~

*so you wanna know more about me, well I am a stay at home mama & artist.  I *love* being able to stay home with my 2 great kiddos, & be able to help out with the income by doing what I *love*.  Most days my day has gone by before I feel it has even started taking care of the kids, & trying to sew.  So you will notice that I have sort of a ebb & flow to how I sew ~ I TRY my hardest to bring you new creations as often as possible ~ but sometimes I can get burnt out & need a break ~ don't we all ~ hehe ~ My #1 goal is to bring you a piece of wearable art that you will *love* for ages ~ I spend hours, days, & sometimes even weeks creating the pieces you see here....  I *love* what I do & I hope it shines through into the art I make :c) ` If you have any questions about anything, please don't hesitate to email me & ask ~ I wont bite, I promise ~ hehe ~ (((((hugs))))) ~ to all the wonderful people who support independent art, instead of huge corporations....without you it would never be possible to do what I do!!

* quality *

~ all of my seams are serged on a Singer 4 thread serger ~ then single & or double stitched & top stitched where needed on my Shark Intelli-sew & Kenmore sewing machine ~ all fabric is pre-shrunk before I start & then washed & dried at the end to settle all the seams & make sure that it is durable ~ I always use matching & or contrasting thread on all my pieces so no worries on getting an item that looks nice in the picture only to arrive at your door with white stitching that stands out so bad it just takes all the beauty from the piece (that's the art school background coming out in me) ~ all of my appliqués are hand drawn ~ fused ~ backed w/ a durable lining & satin stitched to last throughout the life of the garment ~ which will be many moons of everyday wear & tear....

* experience *

I have been sewing for about 7 years (full time) now & I *love* it!! ~ I am completely self taught, although my aunt was a home economics teacher & has been sewing for YEARS so it must be in my blood too ~ I have an extensive background in art & design ~ which started the day I was born & followed me in one form or another till high school where I took graphics, commercial art & photography ~ then onto college where I attended Columbus College of Art & Design for fine arts (major) ~ photography (minor) ~ onto many other art classes after that at varies colleges as I was a travelin womyn ~
